Pfffffff.
IWSMOFFY, CTTS, WHIHE...The list goes on for GA screamo.

swim 09-27-2006 02:26 PM

Boa Narrow, Wolverines, Turantuloco, Black Castle, Abort Captain

bungalow 09-27-2006 02:35 PM

I would have to hear each of those bands to determine if they're good or not.

swim 01-29-2007 05:45 PM

The instrumentation is unbelievablely awesome that they could play quarter notes straight through and I'd still fuck em.

xcult_classicx 01-30-2007 01:44 AM

i like 1905 more though O_O

chickendude 01-30-2007 03:06 AM

All of the innovative French bands are becoming more and more generic, it seems. Same with a lot of the scene.

swim 01-30-2007 05:40 PM

You surely aren't saying that IWSMOFFY is another generic run of the mill screamo band. I agree with statement. Just not when applied to this band.

chickendude 01-30-2007 08:05 PM

Nope, they're one of the few new bands that I actually enjoy.

IWSMOFFY are much different than 1905, that's not relevant.
However, I concur.
To chickendude, the scene for any music will most likely become more generic as time progresses, ideas blend, and there's a limit to how far it can stretch until it becomes something else altogether.

xcult_classicx 01-30-2007 08:52 PM

i dunno, it must be the female vocals, i'm just not into IWSMOFFY period. and i have two of their albums. yeah, they're different and everything, and i don't exactly know what i was thinking of when i posted that, but hey, it's the first thing that came to mind :P

Trauma 01-30-2007 10:17 PM

Good pun.
I love the female vocals.

In the beginning, bands were constantly trying to push their sounds outwards. Anymore, it seems that a lot of bands are content on copying some other band's sound. Even into the late 90s and early 00s, a lot of bands were progressing this style of music. It's nice to see that there are bands out there still working to expand the genre :)

acratertocoffin 01-31-2007 01:14 PM

I Would Set Myself On Fire For You, 1905, and Portrait make me smile.

Trauma 01-31-2007 09:25 PM

Oui, moi aussi, tout le temps.

New song.

I'm not impressed sounds like one of their songs on Believes

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 04-28-2007 12:53 PM

Eh, it was alright. I'm hoping for a bit more harsh vocals than were on Believes In Patterns.

Trauma 04-28-2007 02:03 PM

It does sound a bit similar to their stuff on Believes In Patterns, but I like the instrumentals they implemented, the electronic was integrated well and the viola part is sweet.

The male, female vocals about halfway and at the end collaberate very well with each other.

Man, that electronic little build up at 3'40" was tight, followed by a nice slow down.

I also like some of the lyrics quite a bit.

Overall, this song sounded amazing to me.
Take into account though, my opinion is extremely biased, I'll probably like anything this band puts out.

Maximstark 04-30-2007 02:15 PM

I have to say that I am totally digging the viola, it gives them a point in originality that I like. I'm adding this band to the list of things I would passionately waste money on (thats not a statement about anything, I just like passionately wasting money).

The Dave 04-30-2007 02:42 PM

New song is alright.

Trauma 04-30-2007 04:33 PM

I've decided this is my favourite band of all time.

Blain 05-01-2007 01:15 AM

I have Believes in Patterns. I thought it was pretty great, but Ima guess they don't have a vocalist?

They have two...

Blain 05-02-2007 06:34 AM

Wierd, I hardly heard any vocals

swim 05-02-2007 01:58 PM

you better get your speakers fixed or something, lol

swim 09-20-2007 07:48 PM

Anyone know if the 7" was actually ever released? What I heard from sounded horrible.

Keerin 09-22-2007 12:05 PM

i've been browsing your forum here for a while and one of the best things I got was I would set myself on fire for you - ...believe in patterns.

A lot of the lyrics really touch me and the music is fantastic!

maybe the greatest show ever?

The Dave 10-12-2007 09:28 PM

****, I've forgotten all about With Horses In Her Eyes, I need to listen to them again.

bardonodude 10-12-2007 10:03 PM

yup with horses in her eyes is now the defunct histories, they just changed their name. Damn i just realized every band on that flyer is now broken up lol. SUCKS!!! Yea Id say that was an awesome show.

jameso187 10-13-2007 09:41 AM

this band gets a thumbs up from me, Believes In Patterns is really good. It's a shame they split.

yea I heard the seven 7" sucked as well. The label that is putting out their 7" is Delian League Records MySpace.com - DELIAN LEAGUE RECORDS - RALEIGH, North Carolina - Hardcore / Metal - www.myspace.com/delianleaguerecords. I only noticed I would etc. because I was browsing through Towers and D'Amore releases heh. The song on delian leagues myspace is pretty good though imho.

2 "official" vocalists, though i'd like to argue that there's 3 official vocalists.

4 people do vocals though.

Paul (synth) does occasionally, usually just supporting and backing. Stephen (guitar) and Lindsey (viola) both do vocals, and my absolute favorite vocalist of the group and one of my all top favorite vocalists, Justin (bass) does vocals.

Refer to "nine" and "three" as to his awesomeness.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 10-13-2007 10:52 PM

Nine is my favourite song of theirs.

xcassiusx 10-14-2007 03:46 PM

Same here, man, same here. Nothing else compares. I think it's a great solo type song for Justin's vocals (well, half at least?), and all of the instrumentation throughout the song is soooo sick.

Dear Old Man 10-17-2007 08:06 AM

didnt they break up?

bardonodude 10-17-2007 10:30 AM

yup they broke up around like 3 or 4 months ago? Not exactly sure when but theyre all still active in other bands, 2 of them are in Fur Elise which also has Jeremy who was in another Atlanta band briefly (Me and Him Call It Us). Theyre on stickfigure. Im not sure what the other dudes are doing lol
