now, Thursday were heavily influenced by the emo scene considering they played shows with You And I, Saetia, Neil Perry. IMO, i could say they are an emo influenced post-hardcore band. eventually, thursday got big, and some of bands with similar audio traits were lumped in with them. the fact that Taking Back Sunday ended up on victory didn't help either. someone probably used emo to describe thrusday, and some magazine or internet writer got a hold of the word and exploited it to death because it's catchy.

is that right? i dunno, just testing out if it really works.
Yea I think youre on to something. It makes sense to me. I was looking on wikipedia recently and I read that Thursdays first show was in one of the band members basements with Midtown, Saves The Day, and Poison The Well. That was in like 1998 or something, thats one hell of a lineup when none of them were even popular yet haha. Waiting is a good album =)

i still listen to Thursday up to War All The Time, seriously, i still think they're awesome. octave chords, spoken word, plucked parts, come on, if Geoff screamed all the time, War All The Time could be screamo. yes, Waiting is good, Full Collapse is equally awesome

Their amazing sound aside, if Thursday sounded like Anberline i'd still listen to them because those lyrics are that fucking good.
