f.s.u.
So I know like very very little about this gang and they're pretty much terrorizing all local hardcore shows. All I really know is its a bunch of hardcore kids looking to kick some ass and I'd like more info on them, all I really know is their name stands for Friends Stand United Or Fuck Shit Up. I've heard a bit. Its original members were in bands like wrecking crew, and ss decontrol (I think) and they were originally just kicking nazi skins out of the shows, now its a worldwide gang or something? Tell me please.

Never heard of it. Around here we've got some group SevenFightSeven (from the 757 area code is where they get the name).
Seems fairly retarded to me. |

Thats the only thing out of the news i've really gotten. If this stops me from going to shows i'm going to be pissed. |
I believe they started in Boston and were apart of the whole 80s/90s hardcore scene. A bunch of meatheads if you ask me. They are pretty much coast to coast now with a foot in the door anywhere there is a hardcore scene. Alot of them are the ones who book the shows, or promote them and alot of the hardcore bands have close ties with them. The ones out here are ruthless, thats about all i can say. taking pickaxes and machetes to a show and starting riots because you dont like the opening band is pretty lame. One of them got shot and killed at a club here called Skrappys at a Shattered Realm show (a band with FSU ties) when a fight broke out and a bunch of the FSU guys ran and got weapons and started attacking people, someone capped one of them. They will say they are not a gang, that they are just friends that watch each others backs, but truth is they are a gang, no differant than any other gang that bullies and strongarms people to get their way. they put the blame on everyone else, claiming they are getting a bad rap from the media and that they do nothing wrong. but stay away from them, they cant be trusted, they will jump and beat on anyone that looks at them wrong or they think dont belong at a hardcore show. They are violent thugs that try and rule the scenes with a mafia type attitude.
heres a pretty good article describing them: http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Content?oid=25874 |
This blows, my friends and other random contacts have said they've been at shows that I would go to and I almost found a drummer for my band, **** man.

Fsu
FSU aren't all bad people. Really, they're mostly people who have had the ****tiest lives you can imagine, and have developed a lot of aggression and very poor impulse control. Just don't start crap, and don't talk about FSU and you never have to worry. In fact, they're not bad people to have as friends, but don't get on their bad side. Don't worry about them ruining the show, 99% of the time there are a bunch of them at a show they'll just add to the energy and not start trouble. If you ever meet members, keep an open mind, relax, and really listen to what they might have to say. Almost all truly violent people will show you the greatest respect if you show it to them in turn, but take disrespect as seriously as you can imagine. If you're worried about FSU having anything to do with emo, then don't worry, because they really have nothing to do with emo whatsoever.

This all blew over and was a long time ago and ended in alot of arrests, and I don't care how shitty your lifes been, it doesn't justify beating people up at shows. These guys are fuckheads and faggots.

They sound like a shower of spoilt brats, that are short of a good kicking. |
Idiots.
That doesn't happen over here. |

My friend didnt know any of the guys whatsoever but at a show a few months back (he lives in NJ) he saw some kids repeatively pointing to him through out the night and eventually he was ganged up on randomly. He didnt know any of them, and didnt do anything mean to aggrivate them. I don't know if it's still like that but earlier in the year random fights and these FSU guys were happening a lot in his scene apperantly. Tons of drama and fights occured here as well, but we don't have any of these lame ass hardcore scenester gangs and whatever. |

They did start to kick the nazi's out of hardcore shows. Now they just beat people up and usually have guns/weapons on them so you can't do much about it. |

Most of you guys have the wrong concept of FSU in general. For the most part they are all nice guys. They did start in Boston to get rid of nazi skins. Now I there are some dumb asses that got into it for the wrong reason but that is in anything anywhere. There are those kind of people at hardcore shows that aren't in crews.
When it started most of them were inner-city kids who had rough lives. Thats what hardcore kids were in general back then. Now I don't know a lot of the newier kids (also cause I live outside Atlanta now ) but for the most part I think they are all good kids. Now as far as weapons drugs and crap like that completely unacceptable. No place for that in hardcore. But keep this in mind hardcore has ALWAYS been violent. ALWAYS. That will more then likely never change. Deal with it. |
Wow, so basically because hardcore has always being 'violence' it justifies violence at shows? Yeah fuck unity man!

Violence doesn't mean there can't be unity. Also I never said the violence was always against kids within the scene. Most of the time it was with outsiders. All I ment by that was either suck it up, stop going to shows or try to change it. And not by posting on message boards. Really make an honest atempt at it. Don't just complain about it.
And as far as weapons and drugs because stuff like that will destroy the scene. I also didn't mean doing drugs I ment selling drugs. |
Is writing songs that few people will hear really much different than posting on a board though?
|
No its not thats my point. You just have to make an honest effort.
|
Complaining? Did you read my post at all? I was asking for information and you know asking for information on the internet is probably more beneficial than defending violent cunts.
|
I wasn't saying it was you. I just ment in general. A lot of people complain about FSU but do nothing but complain. Thats all I was saying. Not all violence is good but its not always bad either.
I'm defending violence just to show your hard or gang up on kids, I know thats wrong. But it happens not always right but oh well. Thats just how I see things. |
I hardly think bashin FSU on an internet forum is the same as knifing someone at a show.
|
No its not. I'm not saying you are as bad as FSU or that all you do is complain. All I'm saying is in general, the hardcore scene as a whole.
|
It's funny how people are talking about these kids as if they are the mafia. As for violence is hardcore...
All I want to have is Good Clean Fun. |

opinion and truth don't belong in the same sentance. Second no one on here has said that don't think people can have their own opinions or anything of that nature. So I'm guessing you are talking about a real life situation? |
"Hoping to avoid any sort of conflict this time around, Brown and Matt Weltner, the show’s booker, approached the group of men. “It was explained that as long as we didn’t do anything ‘***goty,’ we would be all right,” says Brown. “They said they were there to respect hardcore and as long as they weren’t disrespected, then nothing bad would happen.
Dangers, an abrasive hardcore quartet of young twentysomethings, could play, but they couldn’t perform “Neo Neo-Nazis (Stop ****ing **** Up),” a song where Brown criticizes FSU’s violent practices. If they did, the men told Brown, “You know what’s gonna happen,” alluding to the past, when Brown suffered minor injuries after being assaulted by FSU members outside a show in L.A. (Police weren’t called.) In lieu of censoring their set, or suffering the violent consequences, Weltner and Dangers decided to cancel the show. According to his bandmates and concertgoers who were there, a member of a local hardcore band suffered minor injuries after a show in Seattle when members of FSU jumped him, allegedly for “talking ****” about them on a local message board. Twenty-year-old Lucas Thilman says he was beaten at a house party last July, when members of FSU refused to leave. He suffered a concussion, brain contusions, and a broken hand." these are all quotes from the below url ****'s ****ed Up - News - City - The Stranger, Seattle's Only Newspaper ^ Various occasions where someone reasonably impugns on FSU's behavior and they get the **** kicked out of them for not keeping their mouth shut and having an opinion that what FSU is doing is unjust. |
