Emo Class (Why?)

Why was the Emo Class thread closed?
Do you mods have a problem with people disagreeing?
Never before have I seen you power hungry mods closing as many threads as you guys do now.
There was minimal flaming in the thread, there was very little spam.
All we did was debate the subject "Is faux-emo, real emo?"
What is wrong with debating? This is musicbanter.
That implys debating, but a debate breaks out, and some mod clicks that close button. You guys are pathetic. I guess the only threads that are allowed are ones where everyone is in agreeance. Howcome when people casually disagree, a thread can stay open, but if someone provides backing as to their argument, then it gets closed. It is as if the mods are all saying "They can disagree, as long as they don't support the disagreement"

So I am making this into a thread of its own.

Are the Used emo?

I say no, and according to the new guidlines at musicbanter, you cannot disagree with me, and present any kind of logic that backs up your argument, so if we are planning on keeping this thread open, then you cannot say that they are emo.

You look into think about things too much and flip out over the tinyest things, if they closed it they probaly had good reasons in doing so quit treating it like they're all power hungry tyrants.

bungalow 03-12-2006 03:03 PM

What was the good reason for closing it?

sleepy jack 03-12-2006 03:04 PM

Well lets see it was a pointless debate because Don pretty much avoided backing his facts up with info and wouldn't budge whatsoever and it was going to end up turning into insults? Neither side was willing to change their opinion, it wasn't going to get anywhere. At least thats why im guessing why it was closed.

bungalow 03-12-2006 03:05 PM

So a debate is immediatly considered grounds for closing?

sleepy jack 03-12-2006 03:09 PM

I dont know, I am not a mod and its not my job. Why don't you just trust the mods judgement instead of trying to act like the little rebel all the time?

Muzak 03-12-2006 03:10 PM

What was with Don? He was so sure of himself though it seems that he is completly wrong.

bungalow 03-12-2006 03:11 PM

Why don't you just ask "why" sometimes instead of kissing the mods ass because you think that you're gonna get promoted?
That is the exact reason that you wouldn't post in "THE JUSTICE THREAD", you would only give me ideas on what to say, because you were afraid that if you posted, then your chance to become a mod would go away.

Quit sucking up to all the mods.
Why was the thread closed?
There was no flaming, and no spamming.
What other reason could there be for closing a thread?
Are they worried that one side will never change their mind?
Because that can be said for 90% of arguments.

sleepy jack 03-12-2006 03:13 PM

I'm not trying to suck up, i'm just saying they probaly had their reasons and you walk around constantly trying to start shit and treating it like each mod is a power hungry hitler. Just trust their judgement, if you hate the mods so much then leave the site its not that big of a deal its the internet.

bungalow 03-12-2006 03:20 PM

Ok, you say they had good reasons, there are 2 mods on right now, and there were 2 mods on when the thread got closed.
If they have such a good reason, why not just tell us what it was, and then this thread can be done too?
