who did you know before they went big?
 
dude this band is from southeastern michigan, i saw them a few times back in '02 when they went by the chiodos brothers. i still have their first cd which was burned on a friend's comp and sold for like 2 bux.

if anyone can share this expierence with this band or any other band in general, knowing them be fore they went big, let it be known.

ok...im almost sure that you know a band called not by choice.....maybe you have seen there couple of videos on much and heard them on the radio last year a bit....they have kinda dropped of the earth latley and are nowere to be seen or heard...oh well...any way.. yea i knew the guitar play, chico, he lived on my street and the band used to jam most days and every one could here them within a five house radius, they played pretty loud....oh yea...i found a **** load of porn in his back seat one time...i was pretty funny......and i dented his car with a tennis ball when playin some road hocky....i dont think he ever new...it was a peice of **** car ...watever

um, ive played several parties back in the day with Jimmy Eat World before they blew up does that count?

i saw underminded a few times before they were famous. i also saw autobomb before they got big...at least i think it was before they were big. they suck though, i cant stand them.

In 20 (okay, nearly 30) years of being a music junkie, no one I've ever seen has "gone big". As a matter of fact, if an unknown band sees me approaching a club they are playing, they know they are doomed to obscurity.


Actually, many years ago, I bought tickets for Jackson Browne about three months before a show. In the meantime, Running On Empty was released and had some hits. So he kind of got famous between the time I bought the ticket and the time I saw him. Does that count? Didn't think so.

I had seen Hot Hot Heat when they were just a small local band...Didnt like them then...dont like them now...but meh..lifes tough

lol it's cool, i didn't expect alot of people to bew like omg yeah i'm steve tyler's baby's godmother or some crazy **** like that just asking.

oh and a really really evil bitchy chick used to come into my work all the time and demanded special deals b/c she was "kid rock's groupie"
