Are you going to actually post something smart? Or are you going to come here and spam faux fanboy posts?

sleepy jack 04-07-2006 05:24 PM

Guys, the person is either very very ignorant, or a spammer just ignore it.

Grey matter

I could go on but I guess it wouldn't matter for you.

Chuck McChuck there a tons of emo bands that this forum could mention, but what would be the point? Half the bands you wouldn't know because they do not get much attention by the radio. Seeing you think Hawthorne Heights is emo you probably listen to the radio, hence the source of your ignorance.

Rabid Sea Turtles 04-07-2006 05:30 PM

I see you live in O.C. a.k.a. according to you as emoville. Are they emo because they listen to Hawthrone Heights just like you? What is your definition of emo?

I have heard of them, but what I haven't heard is your reply to my questions.

honest question guys

jibber 04-07-2006 06:29 PM

^no, not even a litte bit close. read the emo education thread to get an idea of what emo music is, then check out some of those bands to get a better idea of what kind of music would be considered emo.

I'm not a huge Emo fan nowadays. I love my Heroin and Antioch Arrow cd's. I'm more a fan of the "art punk" movement within the style. Fast paced, reckless, and pointless. That's how I like my music :)

A_Perfect_Sonnet 04-08-2006 12:52 PM

When you refer to art punk (also refered to as artcore right?), you mean stuff like Circle Takes the Square, City of Caterpillar, and Welcome the Plague Year?

tcktrc 04-12-2006 02:19 PM

Welcome The Plauge Year yes. I see COC as more screamo and I haven't heard enough Circle Takes The Square to say.

by "art punk" or as you say "artcore", I mean groups like Antioch Arrow, Heroin, Party Of Helicopters, etc.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 04-12-2006 02:40 PM

Welcome the Plague Year and CTTS have a lot of similarities. I can send you a bunch of songs if you'd like.

tcktrc 04-12-2006 06:09 PM

my AIM doesn't work. if you could YSI that would be cool :)

Replace the two x's with t's.

That's 15 CTTS songs.
