Default The Get Up Kids...not Emo but good pop?

Well many hate this band, but I was listening to three of their CDs, which were Eudora, On a wire, and four minute mile. Though not emo, I think they're good at what they're doing. What do you think about this?

Maybe I should change the thread to bands that are mistaken for emo but sound damn catchy.

I'll admit Four Minute Mile hits me pretty good. It's halfway because it reminds me of the time in my life when everything went to ****...but I was no longer homeless...YAY!

I recently aquired some On The Wire songs and somethings lacking. I can't quite put my finger on it but I think it just lost the ever so slight edge it had. I may be wrong. Point me to a good song so I can give a listen tonight.

I like them, I really don't care what things are labelled as...if they're pop so be it, they're pretty good.

I don't care for them much. But they aren't bad.

The Get-up Kids are great. ^^ I like thier other band better, though. Reggie and the Full Effect. They also have another band. The New Amsterdams.

It was traumatic

beautiful stuff. i'm not sure they are emo, but they do move me... sometimes to tears... admittedly close to you doesn't quite live up to the cure version, but they do get it spot on in places. long goodnight, sympathy, don't hate me. i could list them. maybe i'm a sycophant. you gotta love their frankness though. sometimes i don't get much more 'close to home'... sorry.
