Pretty much Koro were responsible for some of the fastest hardcore in America during the early 80s, I relate them to something like Youth Korps or Poison Idea on speed (they were that fast). Anyways, I haven't listened to this in years and perhaps some of you can enjoy it as much as I once did.

Released: 1983

1. 700 Club
2. Selfless
3. It's OK
4. Government
5. Dear Sirs
6. Blap!
7. Nauseous
8. Acid Casualty

Much love for the link.

Anything like Deep Wound or Siege?

Probably more along the lines of Deep Wound as compared to Siege, Koro were more about speed than anything else, where as Siege toed a more "extreme" sound while also being very fast. The drumming isn't as good or as previlant as in Deep Wound with J Mascis, but Koro has some good guitar sounds.

Depression is one of my favourite punk/hardcore bands. Being from Australia popularity wasn't easy to come by but when the Dead Kennedys toured and Jello Biafra became a fan which helped them be included on the Welcome To 1984 comp (great compilation featuring the likes of the Crucifucks and Icons of Filth). Anyway, their early material had more of a straight punk sound especially on this demo, but it's still great. I'll try and get out their amazing first LP for everyone too, which is fucking classic. Check out the cover.

I'll be sending the link to Ethan for a Demo release I have by the band for the mailing list for everyone wanting to download it.
