We played our first show with them. One of the few actual present screamo bands which isn't generic and lame.

oh damn, I didnt know that was your first show, I remember that flyer vividly though, that was when men as trees still wasnt that popular and Newman was in a policeman's uniform pointing a gun. I agree, L'antietam has always been one of my favorite screamo bands, I love the melodic guitars and the screams, I like how their new stuff is more hardcore. However, Im mostly into everything on family. they're one of the few bands that uses octaves in a cathartic manner that isn't hackneyed.

You could not get more different in terms of song length than Men As Trees and L'Antietam.

I like L'Antietam, they offer something different to the masses of bland screamo bands that popped up around 2005-ish. I do not really dig Loma Prieta too much.

L'Antietam remind me a little of Love Like Electrocution. I have not heard the album though, just their EP, whatever that was called.

Something about Red Water? Memory is ruined.

yea haha, we like it when the red water runs hot or something. but thats my favorite by them, greatest lead guitars and stuff. Love like...electrocution is a lot more chaotic though, I cant really draw that much of a comparison between the two, other than that they have similar vocals.
