Default Musicbanter uber skram request thread

ok, here's the deal, my guitarist and i were thinking of covering random stuff and we had some of these songs in mind since i know some of the lyrics and he knows the riffs like the back of his hand.

here's what we had in mind:

Envy- Chain Wandering Deeply
Converge- the Broken Vow
Don Martin 3- Transistor
Indian Summer- Angry Son
Sailboats- Behind Trees
Joy Division- Shadowplay

i'll post a vid of my guitarist playing one of these songs.

actually, we couldn't do an Orchid cover mainly because our drummer doesn't do stuff like the drummer from Orchid does. he could, however do a pretty mean cover of Behind Trees. as for Angry Son, we already did a cover of Indian Summer way way back in 2006 when we were still in another band. we could probably do a cover of Chain Wandering Deeply since our other singer is Japanese and our guitarist could pull the guitar parts off no sweat. i do want to see how Shadowplay works out, though.

personally, if i had any say in it, i'd seriously want to cover Portraits Of Past. Something Less Than Intended or Bang Yr Head would be awesome. too bad i'm the only one in the band who ended up being a PoP fanboy.

Only For The Sake Of Aching has recorded a cover of this, and I can't wait until it's released.
