I'm shocked you made it. I've been putting it off for too long. Probably the best emo band to ever come out of the UK. If you're an emo band and you name yourself after a person you're like automatically awesome, Neil Perry, Amanda Woodward, Van Johnson- there's atleast 2 that I'm forgetting. I don't think people recognize that Bob Tilton was one of the really important in building up to the late 90s screamo scene. They might've formed before the Swing Kids-not sure. Anyway they're awesome. Favorite song is Butterfly which is on Songs of Penkife and Pocketwatch, which I'll up upon request.

sleepy jack 12-17-2006 07:36 PM

Up dat shiz

swim 12-17-2006 07:47 PM

It might not be clear to a third party [do we have any those?] who doesn't like to read but this is obviously not one of the 3 albums- just sayin for clarity.

while bob tilton were indeed awesome, my favourite emo band to come from the uk is definitely spy versus spy.

swim 05-13-2007 04:46 PM

Only heard of but never heard spy versus spy. If you could up something that'd be awesome.

someone find me their s/t 7"
plz

or you can buy it for me which ever you rather.

chickendude 08-11-2007 09:13 PM

What 7" is that? I didn't know they had a s/t...

swim 08-11-2007 09:19 PM

I've seen it on ebay but that's about it. It has different packaging than everything of theirs I've ever seen. I don't know the tracklist or label. So I'm not completely sure it exists.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 08-11-2007 10:58 PM

Who are they similar to?

justinius23 08-12-2007 01:59 AM

During 1993, before the musical genre that would become known as "emo" had started to trickle through to the UK's fledgling hardcore scene, a little-known band from Nottingham, England called bob tilton (named after an American evangelist television star) recorded a 7 inch EP for Subjugation that would come to define the label's identity and distinction.

The untitled EP was released in early 1994, and helped by a limited pressing of 1000 copies and rumours spreading fast of the bands incredible live show, it sold out almost immediately and was later re-pressed.

"If you're an emo band and you name yourself after a person you're like automatically awesome, Neil Perry, Amanda Woodward, Van Johnson- there's atleast 2 that I'm forgetting."

Francis Brady, Maximillian Colby, Tristan Tzara, Charles Bronson.

weleasewoger72 09-30-2007 08:35 AM

Went to their last show in Nottingham. It was amazing. Used to by records from their singer in Select-a-disc in Nottingham all the time.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 09-30-2007 01:58 PM
