how can you enjoy underoath and all those bands that are really just ****ed-up powerpop? there's no guitar really. no gnashing power-chords or screaming solos. or inspiring lyrics. just wierd effects, and a she-male being castrated. FOR 6 MINUTE

...Listen to anything prior to They're Only Chasing Safety and some stuff off of Define the Great Line. Please try and name a band that is similar to Underoath at all, because they try the hardest of any of these sing/scream bands to really be different, so don't say Chiodos or Saosin unless you like being wrong. Their screamer has gone through leaps and bounds to become really versatile, and those "wierd effects" is called a synthesizer, it's been around about 30 years.

Haha, you think solos are a integral part of music.

UnderOATH has been a decently consistent band in their recordings, and Define the Great Line totally changed my opinion about the new line up. The albums prior to TOCS were respectable metalcore albums, and the band has been an innovator in combining new sounds in their music since day one.
