i know...underoath sucks without dallas taylor. but on the plus side, spencer is so hot. lol

I didn't know bands were judged by how good lucking they are, and not by their music.

Looks don't matter, otherwise I'd be listening to all these crappy mainstream female pop artists.

3 words: dude, lighten up

and yeah...i agree that bands are judged by their music. thats why i said that underoath sucks now without dallas taylor. i loved act of depression and the changing of times, but now, i dont listen to much of their stuff.

all im saying is that even if they do suck now, i still think spencer is hot. peace out.

1.) The Broadways are emotive, sarcastic pop-punk with a socio-political focus. Broken Star is one of, if not the best pop-punk album of all time, IMO.
2.) Discount is another pop-punk act (yeah, I'm a bubblegum chewer :D), but the clincher for me's Alison Mosshart on vocals. She's in The Kills, now (a garage rock two piece), but Discount was definately her finest hour. Check out Half Fiction if you're interested.
3.) Crimpshine another early pop-punk band... pre-Fifteen if I'm not mistaken; it's got that talent-laden, dynamic sound Jawbreaker had... if you're a Monsula fan, you'll probably dig it. Duct Tape Soup is awesome, and could easily fit under the Emocore title.
4.) Second Story Window (not the modern-day Metalcore act of similar moniker) was a Hardcore Emo band with a member or two from Heroin... they've got a s/t LP and an EP; bloody brilliant stuff. Kinda like a tad more upbeat Heroin with whacked out vocals.

I'll hook you up tommorow if you'd like :)

New list with more specifics (due to some bands having one release sound radically different from another, or there's one release i simply love and not the others, etc. etc.)

Portrait (self-titled 10")
Bright Calm Blue ("a direct approach for casual conversation")
