i got a question: alesana is emo? and if they don't, what genre they belong?

sleepy jack 07-01-2007 06:14 AM

They aren't emo, they're either rock, metalcore or pop-rock, I would give you which one but I can never remember what they sound like since they blend in with all that scene stuff too well.

Mauro 07-01-2007 01:12 PM

metalcore? pop rock? mmm i think they have many "emo elements" in their music.. it's like a light version of circle takes the square :P

acratertocoffin 07-01-2007 01:24 PM

If you could let me in on what those "emo elements" are that'd be great.

screams, hardcore's tempos, the soft/whispered vocals..

let us leave the image to a side...

The Dave 07-01-2007 03:47 PM

I'm hearing typical metalcore tempos and typical metalcore riffs. ..... and there's not any whispered vocals, the vocals, when not screaming, remind me of Something Corporate.

For a note, don't listen to the song Apology, i'm getting off their myspace page now.

xcult_classicx 07-01-2007 05:15 PM
