my band recorded a few songs recently, and all we need are guitar tracks and vocals. we have 6 tracks total, and we're willing to do splits. anybody with a band out there who's relatively interested?

You know I want one for that thing we were talking about.

try having a split with an indie rock band. its weird but sounds cool.

Oh yeah. Its really slow going for us, since we don't have much time to practice, but we did manage to work on some new stuff tonight :). And we might take you up on your offer if you really want to track some drums for us, that would be really awesome.

that would be great. i'm trying to get a split with this one grindcore band, hope it works. anyway, why don't we make a small comp instead?

a bit off topic, but you guys shoulda been at the show last night. it was the ****ing best. our bass player dressed like a vampire, and people knew the lyrics to some of our songs. it was great and some swiss chicks got to see us play. AWESOME ****

Just hung out with those dudes this past weekend. Their new songs are so unbelievably good.

ok, they finally replied to my message on myspace. they said they still wanted to do the split, but they already made commitments to other bands and their new album. so andrew told me there's going to be a Daijobu records compilation we could be on. if that's the case, then i'm also going to sell it here via my label for those little third world azn kids who couldn't afford $8 with postage or something.

what are their new songs like?

I'm planning to do a new record label (on my own) because the other one is very unactive and I think nothing will be accomplished.

not a problem, kev. :) i'm planning to make a book on emo too.

They played 2 new ones, and they were both the shorter ones on the album. One doesn't really have the drawn out parts, while the other one I heard has some pretty sweet build ups and was a lot more melodic and not as screamo as some of their other stuff. Both were really good. Andrew said once they record, he'll send me a copy of it.

those tracks you recorded were alot...hope you get a vocalist to do it justice. having said that i like the ones already on there! i was in a band at school briefly called Child/Christfister...those were the days

anyway, just to clear things up, the compilation is something andrew has in mind for now. i DO hope he pushes through with it given that it would be awesome and ****.

yea it seems like they dont have too many bands being on the compilation right now, I cant wait to hear their new songs. I really respect them and dig their music.

Yeah, we're in the process of reworking songs, and tying up loose ends. We're planning on record some rough stuff using nothing but a usb mic, then we'll hit the studio sometime after that.

I'll definitely track some drums for you guys, just send me whatever you have when you're done.



And uh.. Compilations sound good. We'll contribute if Andrew's idea goes through. For us, its all about getting our stuff out now. People in our city really suck, so playing live for them is no fun. Pinball is needing to start branching out.

I can definitely talk to him for you guys if you really want to be in on that comp, I'm sure he won't have a problem since MaT and AT are so tight. At the same time, it sounds like this comp is forever away anyhow, so I don't think its a huge pressing issue for anyone right now.

and yeah, Jay, we'll get in touch when we have some stuff done if you want to track some drums. I don't know how we'll record, but we might just do some home DIY tracks to start with and see how those turn out. I'll let you know, dogg.

sick. sounds like you found a drummer?

nope. all of our songs are recorded with electronic drum beats. this spring, a friend of ours will be doing live drums for us though, which should be fun.

dope, i couldn't tell in that new song.

maybe i'm deaf, sounded great either way.

nah, you're not deaf. pretty much everyone who doesn't know us thinks those are real drums. we actually edit the drum samples to sound more realistic, so i guess it makes sense people would think they are real.
