sorta like a darker Funeral Diner, but i'm not rly into the singer. either that or i just miss Seth Babb.

kevinpunx 02-27-2008 02:52 AM

Seth is playing bass now in a rock band called "Sterling says" but its good.

xcult_classicx 03-12-2008 02:57 AM

ok, i like them now. the love for Matt Bajada is too overwhelming

sleepy jack 03-12-2008 03:17 AM

This is ex-I Wrote Haikus also.

xcult_classicx 03-12-2008 03:47 AM

awesome ****. Caitlyn Bailey might be touring with these guys this october in Malaysia and the Philippines.

alliteration 03-12-2008 05:40 PM

I have their new cd or whatever. Its alright.

bardonodude 03-12-2008 07:42 PM

i had no idea they came out with anything yet even though i did just realize they had more songs on their space

monellia 03-13-2008 07:56 AM

I haven't got the album yet but I dig them choons.

And I heard that it's the end for Funeral Diner? I should think they still have a few splits under their sleeve

xcult_classicx 03-13-2008 08:22 AM

i think FD is pretty much dead. Who Calls So Loud sounds pretty good though, and soundwise it's still a darker version of FD, which i like. i just got in touch with Utarid Booking in Malaysia and we're playing with Who Calls So Loud this October. :D it's going to be awesome meeting Matthew Bajada.

bardonodude 03-13-2008 08:34 PM

thats awesome =), yea they were saying they were touring the world, Im surprised theyre doing that right off the bat without having much of a fanbase or anything

xcult_classicx 03-13-2008 09:58 PM

then again, it's the Funeral Diner dudes, i think that sort of follows that people would know where they'd be going. anyway, guys, could you give us any tips for touring? O_O this is going to be our first tour evar

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 03-13-2008 11:46 PM

they're pretty great.

kevinpunx 03-14-2008 06:06 AM

Caitlyn Bailey should play here in Luzon area, Philippines too. haha

bardonodude 03-14-2008 09:24 AM

well for food, get a can of beans and tortillas haha. Supposedly that stuff is so cheap and filling for burritos and of course water.

- People fart. Get use to it, you'll be stuck together for a long time.
- Don't spend money on soda and snacks at gas-stations, it really starts to add up in cost.
- Take food with you. A jar of peanut butter and a loaf of bread will last you for days.
- Fights are inviteable. Be prepared for the worst, but always have a good time so you can look back at stuff and laugh about it.
- Don't be bummed if you play a show for 5 or 10 people. Every band on tour runs into that situation sooner or later. Try to think positive. If you played for 5 people last night, then think of it as an improvement if you play for 10 people the next night.
- Bring toilet paper.
- Baby Wipe showers. always have some bottled water or a nalgene with water in it. you never know when you'll be sleeping in the van and brushing your teeth on the side of the road or a gas station parking lot.
- Don't piss of the locals
- Wear a condom, AND pull out
- Don't **** with anyone that handles your food
- Don't bring either: 1) your girlfriend, or 2) your dog
- Always keep your van locked. In larger cities, try backing your vechile near walls so it's impossible to pull gear out, because people can and will try to jack your ****. Try to find places where you can store your gear at night, like a venue or someones house.
- Buy a radio shack charger to stick in your car charger... it's cheap, and it'll keep everyone happy (cell phones, iPods, laptop, etc. etc.)
- I don't know what the law is over there, but please keep in mind, you can still get a parking ticket while sleeping in your car.
- Always try to keep a good reputation and stay positive. This way, you can get a better chance at staying somewhere to sleep at night, and you'll really help build connections for future tours and maybe even make some life-long friends.

kevinpunx 03-17-2008 10:25 PM

its ok if there are only 5 audiences watching you play. Still At least somebody watched. :D

mevsthesky 03-21-2008 05:40 PM

caitlyn bailey should play here in bacolod.

kevinpunx 03-22-2008 08:38 AM
