Default Manhattan Skyline

probably heard of them. if not - member(s) of kaospilot, more chaotic, mathy sort of stuff.

they've got a new album called "Curses" coming out, sounds pretty great from the new tracks they've put up.

They sound better with multiple listens, their ferocity matches their expert signatures. I'll have to pick up Curses.

I think I'll need to give this a few more listens, I'm not usually much for super-techy sh*t like this. Not bad though! I like the awkward little writeup they have on themselves on the myspace.

Right from the opening milliseconds of Curses, the listener is beeing floored by Manhattan Skyline's frenetic technical force and aggression. Inspired by the latest findings of molecular-biology, they fire off fractal musical patterns with an intricacy that is growing with each listen.
I don't like being floored.

not yet, I only have their e.p. but honestly, from what I've heard from Curses, they seem to have toned down the spazzy tech aspect of their sound.

I dunno, I've been totally ****ing digging; Antlers s/t, Castevets I Know What a Lion is and anything Deerhunter's done lately. Oh and sludge/doom. Buzzov-en is rad. I tend to like big thundering heavy riffs as opposed to the WEEDLY WEEDLY thing.

I'm still working on getting into this Manhattan Skyline stuff. WEEDLY-WEEDLY-WEEDLY.
