You Don't Know Hardcore (metal, punk, bling, deathcore, cover)

Okay, so a 'scenester' started arguing with me today through facebook, and things got pretty damn funny. So I came up with this subject, do you know your hardcore?
Since this goes into both metal AND hardcore, i didn't know where to put it. Hope here's okay.

I'll put the conversation up as soon as it ends. Yes, he is still rambling on.

me: Despised Icon is deathcore ahaha.
Hardcore is a.k.a for hardcore punk/post-punk, like Minor Threat or Bad Brains. DC 80's stuff.

Acacia Strain is post-hardcore/metalcore a.k.a soft ****.
And Chelsea Grin are cybergrind.

'scenester': Despised icons breakdowns aint **** compared to slow brutal ****.

me: seriously though, we both obviously love metal, so why not just show each other some bands?

'scenester': Deathcore... is definitely not... despised icon...

It goes on but I'm tired, I'll post the rest tomorrow.
