In a recent topic you brought up Hoover. I had tried to get a hold of some mp3's a few years ago but couldn't find any. Flash to the present and I finally found a few songs and was blown away. I wish it wouldn't have taken so long. My question is really how does eveyone find the songs or sites to bands they listen to now? The problem I find is that some bands can be so obscure or have a name that is so common that it's near impossible to find through searching.

I use DC++ as peer to peer now and have had good luck finding what I want but still it's tough.

ah i hate that. names like Oil and stuff. I just find people who have their music and have them send it to me.

www.purevolume.com is a good place with thousands of lesser known bands giving out their music for free downloads... you'll find some real gems there.

soulseek is pretty decent, and it gets the job done.
