I think the people, like Urban Hatemonger and All_Night_Dinah, really need to stop coming in these forums. All they do is say how stupid emo is and contribute nothing positive to these forums and its a waste of time to come in here and see the latest "emo sucks" post by them. I came in here to talk about music, get some reccomendations for bands, and talk about the bands I like. Not to debate these people on how you can't say an opinion is wrong. Perhaps you guys could go to your punk or whatever forums and talk about the bands you like there instead of getting mad at us for liking bands and being emo. In fact, i don't dress emo, people say i act emo, and i listen to emo. I'm not totally full-fledged emo, but i still like emo. How can you tell me something i personally like is wrong? So, please, go to a different forum and talk there.

emo is a genre of music. you can't 'be' emo, you can't 'dress' emo, you can't 'act' emo. And i personaly cant see either Urban Hatemonger or All_Night_Dinah making posts that just say "emo sucks", they give reasons behind their opinions.

If you can find one post of mine where I say emo sucks or emo is stupid I will leave this board. I looooove emo(Rites of Spring, Saetia, Swing Kids, Heroin, Fugazi) I just like acctual emo not all the **** being thrown around these days as emo. No I dont like Bright eyes or Chris Caberra or Hawthorn hights or My chemical romance, and thats what is being passed of as emo on this board.

I've never told you that what you listen to is wrong, I just state my opinion and that I dont like alot of the bands on this board. I think its funny that everyone get all uptight when people state their opinions. People are different than you, your going to have to accept that sooner or later. Its pretty sad when if someone dosnt have the same opinion as you you choose to try to start a lynch mob against them.

collapseofmyheart, who the **** are you to say who and who should not be here? ive tolerated you with your bleating about the emo genre. if they want to slate the emo genre they can slate the emo genre. its their opinion. deal with it. god, you dont even get this victimized, whining attitude in the pop forum.

Good advice. Listen to it. Niether Urban or All Nite Dinah have said anything like that, so please just stop making all these complaint threads, theyre nothing but bull****.

I think I said emo sucks maybe twice when I first came here & that was it.

I don`t go into threads of emo bands & just say things like 'They suck' at all.

I don`t consider myself a part of the emo scene at all so if I do comment on it I give the veiw of how it looks to someone from the outside , or give some comparisons to how i`ve seen 'scenes' come & go in the past, not to slate it.

Maybe if you actually read some of my posts instead of just assuming because I don`t like the genre I spend my time slagging it off , we might get somewhere.
