Default Union of Uranus

Some of the earlier screamo bands seem to have gone unnoticed through these years, and unnerves me to no end. These Canadian bands went on to influence all this other stuff, notably Orchid and June Paik, who both personally cite UoU as an influence.

I dunno the exact years, but they around the same time as Indian Summer, who had an album in '93(?). Backhand came out in '93, too. Two very early skramz records. I found To This Bearer of Truth on vinyl at a thrift store for $1. Ultra stoked.

I used to listen to Disaster by Design quite often during the halcyon days of my ardent scramz love. It's a great EP, must re-introduce myself to it. Have to admit, I haven't heard anything else from them. I really enjoyed One Eyed God Prophecy too, I think they were from the same crust scene, weren't they?

What a find, man. I'm lucky to get anything other than 70s Christmas albums at my shop.
