emo pictures

ok, there's a lot of talk about this "emo" thing, and i've only herad about it for the first time here on this forum, i've sorta figured out what type of music it is, but on another thread someone tried to explain how someone who listens to "emo" dresses but i didn't really get a mental image, so if you wouldn't mind posting some pictures of these strange "emo" people i'd be much obliged...

you dress however the hell you want, you can listen to emo no matter what... but usually the style people think of as emo are tight jeans and a tshirt and long black bangs hanging in front of thier face.

hmm...why am i getting an image of the guy from blink 182...?

it just doesn't seem like a very characteristic dressing style, i mean, when you compare it to metal style, grunge style, hippie, house, punk...all of which are very characteristic and noticable...

EMO is different than all that! its about emotion and what you feel andyone can listen to it and u dont have to dress a certain way!

^Yeah we know. You really think we're that shallow? This thread isnt about emo music though, this is about the whole emo-scene-fashion-crap thing. Dont get yer knickers in a twist, this isnt about the music.

Personally I think its pretty stupid to dress to any certain "trend". It all just fades away and you look back and think "Man, I was stupid for dressing like that". Just be who you want to be, and if you happen to dress "emo" (the style of dress, not the style of music), then thats perfectly fine. Do what you want and be free. Live your life how you want to, not by the dictates of some style or fashion trend.

I know mostly everyone who reads this post will feel this way (at least I think they do), so this isan't much of a revelation. I just figured I would post it so if anyone came for tips on how to dress "emo", they would get some enlightenment. :)
