I'm not sure if it's a joke or not.

No it's very real. They were in chicago about mid way through their tour and they stopped off at a pizza place and were so inspired by it they canceled their tour to write this EP about pizza.

Trauma 08-12-2006 12:26 PM

Haha yeah they want people to send them song ideas about pizza too.

"We're doing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song cover because they like pizza so much".

Crazy band.

unearthfreak 08-21-2006 08:53 PM

my freind saw them on warped tour and said they were excellent.

rsnjeff 08-23-2006 09:59 PM

HORSE the band rules I instantly got into them when I heard Birdo and A Million Exploding Suns.

The Dave 08-24-2006 08:33 AM

Birdo is a great song, i've heard the whole album but that's the only song name i can remember.

Pizza EP

beat yr own KID 09-04-2006 11:09 AM

Pizza ep is righteous. <3 this band and everything they do

swim 09-06-2006 04:45 PM

It's pretty good a little hard to take a guy singing "I'm crippled by pizza" seriously but it's surprisingly good.

"Nathan our singer was taken to jail tonight after our show with Dragonforce in Toronto on suspicion of robbing a gas station and firing a pistol at a woman. Nathan has been reading Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry and got way into it, thinking he is the main character, Gus. He drinks a bottle of whiskey a day and bought a cap gun which he took the orange thing off of and a 12 inch bowie knife which he named 'blue duck.' Every night when he is drunk he fires the cap gun in the air and runs around screaming. Tonight at the gas station he had just fallen out the side door of the van. He climbed back in laughing hysterically, and shot his cap gun into the air twice. We left the gas station. Two minutes later I was lying face down in the middle of the freeway handcuffed with a handgun and a shotgun pointed at my head. Eighteen cops came and they shut down the freeway. Evidently some lady said we robbed the store and pointed the gun at her. They let the rest of us go, but the Toronto police have Nathan, blue duck, the gun, our jim beam, e and j, and barenjager. Hopefully they let Nathan go but he might be in jail for a while. Sorry if we misss any shows."

glazedface 09-29-2006 04:39 PM

I saw them when they were opening for dragonforce, but they were terrible. the singer was kind of funny but the music as a whole was utter crap. im just gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was because of the sound system. what was funny, though, was that when dragonforce came on, sam totman tried to steal the HTB guitarist's guitar.

IamAlejo 09-29-2006 06:27 PM

I loved them live, they sounded 100000x better than on a cd. I really don't like them on cd besides the pizza ep.

Different strokes maybe? Might be the sound system i guess.

riseagainstrocks 09-29-2006 06:31 PM

Horse rules. At everything.

Octopus On Fire FTW 4EVA

Rhia 09-30-2006 10:17 AM

Janszoon 02-05-2009 11:29 AM

I randomly got an album by these guys a month or two ago. The jury is still out on it for me. I like the concept of what they're doing but so far none of their actual songs have clicked with me.

bardonodude 02-05-2009 11:40 AM

get R. Borlax

I have A Natural Death. What would you say is the difference sounds-wise between these two albums?

bardonodude 02-05-2009 12:24 PM

HUMONGOUS DIFFERENCE, better screams, better instrumentation, better songs, better rythm, better originality, less generic ****, less trying to appeal to a lot of people

Alfred 02-08-2009 12:09 PM

The Mechanical Hand is great. I'll have to check out more by these dudes.

I need to hear that EP I guess.

swim 02-11-2009 06:06 PM

Neh, you just need to get you some pizza.

Janszoon 02-11-2009 06:08 PM

Okay, I got R. Borlax and have listened several time but I'd didn't find it to be all that different from A Natural Death. It's not bad but I don't feel totally sold on either album. As I said before, I like the concept of what they're trying to do which is why I have given them several listens. I think what's going on is that I wish they'd make the electronic stuff a more significant part of the music instead of relegating to side salad status as they do in most of their songs. So far, the songs I've liked the most have consistently been the more electronic sounding ones.

bardonodude 02-11-2009 06:11 PM

lol I saw this dude actually take a pizza cutter to the pizza e.p., sec Ill link it because it was HILARIOUS

Dear Horse the Band...

imo, I think the synth is a more driving force in the music than any other aspect, it seems like the guitarist pretty much plays almost the exact same notes as the keyboardist. A Natural Death seems a lot more generic to me, I dont know the dude doesnt really scream the same and they try to put breakdowns in their songs so they can appeal to the metalcore kids

swim 02-11-2009 06:18 PM

What an idiot. If you don't like an album sell it.
