The Reason Why Emo Blows

Hello, You May Have Noticed I Have Recently Own3d This Forum With My Incessant Hatred Torward Emo, Punk Or What The F*ck You Would Like To Call It.

I Have A Simple Reason

You Emos Are Embarrassing, I Loathe Each And Every One Of You, Your So Called Muscisians Are Only In It For The Money, Why The F*ck Do You Worship These Selfish Bastards, If I Ruled The Would, Anyone Who Even Sounded Emo Would Get Something Called A Public Execution. They Are Quite Fun And I Reccomend That Each Of You Step Right Up.

Do you actually know what emo is? And if you think that all people who listen to any style of music act in a specific way and are all the same then you probably have an extra chromosome.

according to my understanding, EMO is emotionally charged punk

I dislike punk to begin with, but emo just makes it ten times worse.
If you want a full explaination give me 45 minutes to write a small rant about it.

It's emotional hardcore, not the kind of The Used crap they play on TV which is basically pop-punk with screaming . Hardly any real emo bands actually have depressing "I like to cut myself" lyrics, you should actually try to learn what you're talking about before you go around mindlessy bashing it.

... you call that poor excuse for music hardcore?

Go there and listen to the song Crowquill, its a song by a real screamo band and you may not like it but it certainly isn't a "poor excuse for music" and also its deintlely not the normal trite generic crap that I think you seem to think emo is.

Please at least give it a chance and listen to it as it might actually change your view point.

I am goingto be honest with you, and I am not saying this in an immature way or anything, but that was absolutly ridiculous, it really just obscures what I think of emo even more.

Unfortunatly, I cant show you what I listen to and you will probably get what I mean when I say hardcore.

Here are the problems that I had with it:

Phenominally weak bass

Ridiculous Drum beat

and the fact that I would rather listen to Cradle of Filth's singer screeching during the entire song, than the lead singer's vocals, the back up vocals just polluted the sound completely.

Electric Ocean 07-09-2005 07:43 AM

Ok fine yeah I see your view point, I hated that band with a passion when I first heard them but they are what generally accepted as screamo by anyone who knows whats up .Emos not as harsh as that but its still not catchy pop-punky music and it's certianly not Taking Back Sunday.

Anyway, what music do you actually listen to?

Akron Demonark 07-09-2005 07:47 AM

Heavy Metal such as Iced Earth

Death Metal Such as Behemoth and Amon Amarth

and

Black Metal such as Old Man's Child and Dimmu Borgir

Electric Ocean 07-09-2005 07:57 AM

They're some pretty cool bands, well the ones I've heard anyway(Iced Earth and Amon Armath) and if you're open minded enough to like Black metal then I don't know why you can't be more open minded to everything else.

Also what you did is earlier with all those posts is the equivalant of someone ignorant going into a metal forum a proclaiming their hate for all metal anjd metalheads when all they've heard is Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit or whatever else passes for "metal" these days. Seriously it's best to try not to bash anything before you get all the facts.
