MCR is back?
 

So scrolling through Facebook today, it seems as though MCR updated their profile picture with a new logo. Is this a sign for a reunion tour or new album? What do you guys think?

According to ultimate guitar, they have an upcoming reunion show this year.

If they reunite for a string of Black Parade shows, I'll actually seek out tickets to see MCR. I never thought I'd say that, but The Black Parade is one of the best records of the oughts.

So far all there is to go by is a vague post on their social media with a random date.

Absolutely agree. I grew to really love The Black Parade after not listening to it for months after it's release.

My daughter will be sad to hear they're not reuniting.

They make a cryptic video with a specific date of some announcement and then reveal it's just a reissue a day later? Seems fishy. I never expected a new record or song of sort, but maybe a one off Black Parade show. That'd be awesome.

I saw their Black Parade show in Tokyo a few years ago. My friend and I went to see it. I was like "this album is amazing, listen to it." And he was like "okay." Then I was like "isn't it great?" And he was like "yeah". But then when we got to the concert and I was rocking out, screaming along to every song, I looked over and saw he wasn't doing anything. I was like "come on dude this shit is awesome!!" And then he was like "oh I didn't really listen to the album so I don't know the songs".

Fuck that guy.

What annoyed me was the "yeah I listened to it, it's great" lie.

Haha, I remember trying to listen to that album and being bored off my ass. I feel for your friend.

He didn't have to go. Actually, it was his idea. That's why I recommended he actually listen to the album first.

I've gotta bump this, the recent Black Parade re-release was absolute garbage. I don't think I've ever been as disappointed in a re-release as I was with that.

I don't think it was the fact that it was a re-release that made it disappointing.

I love the original album, but it seriously seems like Warner brothers just called up the album's producer and was like "hey dude, just give us some random wav files of drunk band demos and we'll pass it off as some super hype release, thanks fam"

I can enjoy the original release from time to time, but a re-release of The Black Parade is like taking a piece of turd, and putting a bit of spit shine and perfume on it to make it a less ****ty turd, but still a turd.

If you already only jam the original on occasion, I'm pretty sure you would actually physically convulse in laughter from how bad the re-release is.

It wouldn't surprise me.
