Seminal Post Hardcore Albums: The Best
After talking about seminal post hardcore albums I realized there's a lot and they kick ass. I'm putting a poll up on here to see which are the best received by MB. I imagine it being a tight battle.
(the other one just like, didn't even take me to the poll screen) |
Neither did this one it seems.
lulz
Yeah I guess if you take more than 5 minutes it just ****s your ass
I'll try again on a computer and maybe I'll win eventually |
I shoulda had my options planned ahead if time
Was gonna put Slint - Spiderland Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come Squirrel Bait - Skag Heaven Unwound - Leaves Turn Inside You Nomeansno - Wrong Husked Du - Zen Arcade Minutemen - Double Nickels on the Dime Glassjaw - Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence Rodan - Rusty Rites of Spring - End on End Moss Icon - Lybernum Wits End Liberation Fly |
**** dude, idk if i could choose but it's between the top 3.
I guess ask a mod to make the poll. I think they can add one onto thread in post-production.
Yeah do that, mod **** bitches
Respond to my verbal anger I suppose you could add an 'other' option too |
I could do it but I'm lazy right now.

Did I win last year? I honestly forget. I may have. It's okay. We all know what's good.

That's what I get for having multiple tabs open. Lol. I'm leaving it.
I also had Indian Summer - Science 1994 on that list
no Fugazi? Drive Like Jehu?
Yank Crime was also included.
Fugazi is very clearly a seminal post hardcore band but I dunno what album would be here. I mean, Repeater, In on the Kill Taker, Red Medicine, and the Argument are all very highly regarded Come to think of it I dont even what my personal favorite would be |
answer: The Arguement
I'll have to consult with some other people, someone might say another one is my favorite
Should add atdi and jawbox too
The Argument could very well bent fav Fugazi actually. It's either that or In On the Kill Taker.
Jawbox came to mind when making the list but I totally forgot ATDI. Relationship of Command would be the one to add right? That's always been my least fav tbh |

What about
The Fall of Troy - s/t Birds in Row - You, Me, and the Violence |

it's like mondo is so hipster that we can't even hipster with him because his hipster is more hipster than our hipster |
everything I've mentioned in here is so outrageously not underground
Mondo knows all the music. Question him not, for he be the wiser. I liked ROC, a little over produced at times but it was their most intense record IMO. Its been so long since ice listened to atdi that I can't really comment on their other albums.
i wasn't questioning mondo, he knows his ****. it's just in most cases i've never heard of the ****.
I forgot a lot of albums
your avi still makes me hard
Vaya is ATDI's best release followed by In/Casino/Out and tied with Relationship of Command. There are only like 5 or 6 good songs on Acrobatic Tenement but those 5 or 6 songs rock.
That is all. |
Oh that's right, I couldn't remember the name. Acrobatic Tenement is my favorite
Ass
