adidasss 09-27-2005 03:32 PM

oh who cares...i think they only have 2 or 3 songs out so far so i'm going to hold my judgement till later.....( oh, and sofa song is better then eddies gun )

Sneer 09-27-2005 03:42 PM

Expletive Deleted 09-27-2005 04:38 PM

Who? Wait don't tell me...

One of those "indie" bands that the NME hypes, correct?

adidasss 09-27-2005 04:48 PM

i have no idea....why don't you just give it a try before you shoot your mouth ey?

Because I'm pretty sure if the NME is writing about them, I'm not going to like them.

adidasss 09-27-2005 04:58 PM

wow, that's very open minded of you.....*rolls eyes*

Fenixpunk 09-27-2005 04:59 PM

not listening to a band because of who likes them is just as ignorant as liking a band because of who likes them. why let anybody form your opinion for you?

Did I say I was open minded? 90% of the time, the NME writes about crap bands.

Sneer 09-30-2005 04:55 PM

eddies gun is better

just listening to the album on nme.com...pretty dissapointing, i actually had this album on my wishlist on amazon...i think i'll take it out now...
a couple of good songs, but overall, not worth the money....

Imonlydancing 01-19-2006 10:16 AM

I think the Kooks are alright actually.
My friends went to see them supporting the Subways, & met them or something.

adidasss 03-29-2006 03:13 PM

naive is an exellent song, just saw the video....

ILIVEMUSIC 03-30-2006 03:11 AM

well im not to bothered what everyone else thinks about the kooks, weather u hate them or love them. i personally love the kooks, listen to "you dont love me" its a TUNE! and yeh sofa song is a cool song, im really enjoying listening to the kooks, i think we will be hearing lots more from them in the future as well.

DontRunMeOver 03-30-2006 03:17 AM

On a side note, its YOU that added us as a myspace friend. I was wondering who you were and why you appeared on our myspace (I've only added my best friends, people in Birmingham and a couple of bands until now)!

You clearly have fantastic taste in music - as you've added us - so I'll take it from you that The Kooks are great. For now.

EDIT: Well, I thought you did, maybe I'm imagining it. Oh, dear...

ILIVEMUSIC 03-30-2006 03:21 AM

yeh i did add ya on myspace, i aint had chance to listen to any of ur stuff yet tho, but i will and i will let u know what i think yeh.

DontRunMeOver 03-30-2006 03:28 AM

Cheers. I'll find the Kooks stuff later, when I'm somewhere you're allowed music.

By the way, the music up there at the moment is the most 'rock/emo' that we do, we've also got a couple of drum'n'bass songs, a couple of acoustics and are currently heading in a more 'disco' direction. So if you don't like the musical style at the moment, you might still like our next song. Likewise, if you do like our current music, you might not like the next lot!

ILIVEMUSIC 03-30-2006 03:33 AM

cool sounds like a good band, there aint alot of bands that change their style so dramaticly from rock/emo to "disco" but its different and i like that, i will have a listen when i get home cause im at college right now!! SUCKS!!

Imonlydancing 03-31-2006 11:42 AM

love themmm.
my cousins friend knows them :]
i first heard them aaagess ago, but never really looked into them.
they're quite catchy, i just like them.

glastonelle 05-29-2010 11:25 PM

Well, I like them. If anything, I think theyre great.

I just discovered Inside In Inside Out, fantastic album. Saiside/Ooh La, and Naive are all amazing songs. Honestly I thought they'd be a girly boring pop band but turns out I really like them. There singers sounds exactly the same live its pretty impressive.

Haha, I remember when Inside In Inside Out was released, I had to stop listening to that to avoid being associated with all the wannabe indie douches that then (and still now, somewhere) roam the streets of Sweden. Not too big of a loss though, didn't think the music was too interesting to be honest.

nbakid2000 05-06-2011 10:51 PM

Like these guys a lot.

The second album is better than the first though - they really matured musically (imo).
