One of the better romantic movies ever made. Really good acting and an amazing soundtrack, so yeah, for people who haven't seen it go check it out. Starring two of The Shins song if I remember correctly.

I love The Shins! James Mercer is a lyrical genius in my opinion. The lyrics are probably half the reason why I never get sick of The Shins; they're hard to understand, and yet easy to relate to. I find myself creating my own personal meaning to every word and I love it.

I'm seeing them live this summer!

My favorites songs are Pink Bullets, Australia, Turn on Me, Those to Come and A Comet Appears.

I do, actually. I do find it a little boring in the long run, but at the same time it's not the kind of music I usually listen to, so to me it's still kind of interesting and new in a way. It definitely won't become a favorite of mine, but I like The High Road, Sailing to Nowhere and Vaporize.

I'm a big fan of The Shins.
Wincing the Night Away is their best, in my opinion.

The last record, Port of Morrow has plenty of good tunes, but I don't care for the production.
The sound is too velvety (don't mean like the Velvets!!).

I know what you mean. It got a little too 'slick'.

Port of Morrow alienated some of their fans, but that's simply the evolution of fans in respect to the evolution of a band

I still like The Shins. Port Of Morrow is nowhere better than their debut or "Chutes Too Narrow" but they still got it.
