The Ian Svenonius Appreciation Thread
It`s about time this guy was given his due around here other than a couple of throwaway mentions in a couple of emo threads.
Responsable for not one , not two , but THREE great bands in the from of Nation Of Ulysses , The Make-Up and Weird War. The Make Ups version of Hey Joe pisses over anything Hendrix ever did with it. |
Too bad no one posted in your thread. I don't have anything other than his Nation Of Ulysses music, perhaps I should check out those other bands.

Aah The Make-Up...
I was born on the floor. Fact. I love them. :) |
SHE`S BACK !!!!!!!! :D :D :D
And she`s saving my threads from dying on their ass as usual :D |
Hello Urban!! :) Has it been that long... people keep saying that to me. Oh well, I'm here now, so back to the original topic. How strange you should post this topic, I was just listening to Weird War's 'Baby It's the Best' and wondering why no-one talks about Weird War. Why wasn't that hailed as a modern day classic by all today's cool kids who claim they were born in the wrong era. Does it not have that solid old school rock or indie summery feeling that most 60s stuff gave us, or Pavement? I think it does anyway.
Also, I have been meaning to ask someone... The Make-Up and Radio 4. Can anyone see a similarity? Who's copying who? |

It`s uncool to listen to anything over 2 weeks old these days y`know |
Haha, true. I swear by the time bands like Arctic Monkeys albums are officially released diehard fans have already moved on to the next big thing.
Jesus, you're making me feel old And uncool. ;) |
*hides his collection of Hawkwind albums he`s been listening to all week*:o:
