Ive seen their albums before, it caught my attention just from the band name (same with the band El Centro, which is another town in California where Ive lived)...

Calexico is the town on the U.S. side of the mexico/california border..on the other side of the border (in mexico) is mexicali..just a little bit of random info....ill give them a listen.

i think they're from Tucson, Arizona. it's music for the extra cool people...i think this is something Tarantino might listen to...and their sound varies quite a bit, the last album is almost straight up indie rock, while the previous albums have much more of the mariachi feel to them...even a touch of surf rock...
