Wow.

I have just discovered this band, and let me tell you, this is not your mama's post-rock band. This is how post-rock should be done. Not tedious and drawn-out, but jammin' and funky. This is Slint meets Tortoise, with plenty of funk. The dual-bass attack is magnificent, and keeps the songs from getting dull, and the horns, melody, noise, and whatever else the band feels it necessary to throw at you take the band to a whole new level.

Really, I cannot stress it enough, this is a great band. If you ever listened to Slint and wondered what they would sound like if they were more bass oriented, look no further. Some vocals would probably make things even more interesting, but unlike most post-rock bands, the music will make up for their absence, and you will not get tired of it within a couple minutes.

Sounds interesting, although I've never heard any "post-rock" stuff before. I liked The Cows a lot, so your recommendations have proven to be good so far. I'll check this out.

Here's some footage I found that may pique your interest but is not necessarily fully representative of the brilliance that is UI:
