Been listening to Blur a lot recently. So much better it's not even close.

Oasis had some good songs, but not the kind I want to play over and over again. What ruins it for me with Oasis is the drumming and maybe the cello. The former is redundant and the latter is trite. Everything else is cool.

Which band is the better than ?

Damon Albarn: ''There were reports in the papers of people breaking up their relationships, because one liked oasis and the other one liked blur...One woman left her husband because he put our CD in the microwave."

Liam Gallagher: "Being a lad is what I'm about. I can tell you who isn't a lad: anyone from Blur."

I didn't know what he meant by that exactly, like if there was some fine nuanced secret meaning to "being a lad," so I did what Chunk Yogurt always advocates - I Googled it.

Arising in the early 1990s, the image of the "lad"—or "new lad"—was that of a generally middle class figure espousing attitudes typically attributed to the working classes. The subculture involves young men assuming an anti-intellectual position, shunning sensitivity in favour of drinking, violence, and sexism.
I rally don't care if no one from Blur is a "lad" if they can write a song like this:
Graham Coxon - Bitter Tears

Easy one for me, Blur.
I think they’re more creative and artistic.
