Otherwise known as that chick who did that song with Jack White on the Stripes Elephant album.

She`s been around for years knocking out albums & singing on other peoples stuff (White Stripes , Mudhoney, Rocket From The Crypt , Billy Childish to name a few)It was her duet with the White Stripes and an album she did with Billy Childish called 'Heavens Journey' that made me want to really check her out.

I`ve been listening to some of her solo stuff & it`s a really good mixture of blues , country , garage rock & soul.

I actually think she`s the best female singer in the UK , and I think she`s so much better than PJ Harvey , she`s THAT good.

I didn't really like indeed you do, her vocals kind of got annoying and I turned it off. Time Will Tell is pretty sweet. On the fire wouldn't play >.>

I really like the vocals and I really like her sound.

I`m gradually finding some more of her stuff , I`ll upload an album in a few days

I really like her, she's so eclectic and has a really sweet voice.

I actually didn't know about the White Stripes collaboration! I should have quite a few of her stuff, if I catch you on msn anytime soon I'll send you it over.

I always thought she was an American who worked in the UK.

Turns out she is a Brit after all. So i`ll say they`re equal top of my list.

Really like her a lot, not sure about better than PJ though...
An album upload would be briiiiiilliant, i've been trying to find one for cheap for ages.

I wouldn't call her as good as PJ Harvey, but she definitely has something. Also she's one of my rare claims to meeting famous people, I saw her live once in a pub, said hi to her at the bar afterwards and she was quite nice and ordinary.
