Default Old Time Relijun

Ever wanted to know what it would sound like if Captain Beefheart fronted The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion?

If the answer is no f*ck off out of my thread.

If the answer is yes then listen to the songs here ....

I saw old time relijun and I immediately thought it would be a thread on Captain Beefheart.

But a new band, even better.

Urban, I don't know if you're into no wave, but this reminds me of a bit more musically adept version of James Chance and the Contortions. Cool stuff.

Yeah I have seen James Chance mentioned when I was looking into them.
I`ve only heard the stuff by him on the No New York album so i`m not really that familier with his stuff.

I saw these guys tonight!!! They were so impressive I bought their LP and a t-shirt. Live they sounded a ton like Scratch Acid, on vinyl their sound is much less identifiable. Their lead singer is amazing in any case -- he's actually trained in throat singing (and did it several times during the show)

I have Witchcraft Rebellion, it's good stuff. Will relisten to that one soon, and apparently they are excellent live like you say cardboard, so it'd be cool to see them sometime.

I remember why I checked it out, was when some guy said it sounded like Beefheart-meets-James Chance. Lovely.
