Bump!!

Can someone who's heard all his albums please rank them.

I've only heard 3 and I rank:

Cassadaga
I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning
Lifted.............

They're close, and I like them all very much. I'm wondering what one to get next.

You should buy Fevers and Mirrors or Digital Ash in a Digital Urn next.
Digital Ash is much different from the three you have above though.

I figured Digital Ash in a Digital Urn wasn't very good since it came out the same year as I'm Wide Awake It's Morning, and that's the one people are much more familiar with.

Thx for suggestion, tho; I'll probably check it out next.:thumb:

P.S. 311 fan?

no i do enjoy it. its not my favorite, and its darker and definately not considered folk. but still good. the reason people are more firmiliar with Im Wide Awake is because its more of the style Bright Eyes is known for as opposed to digital ash being even considered electronic at some points.

I was a huge anti-Conor advocate for the longest time. I hated the fact that he was being hailed as the Dylan of our generation. But the more I explored his body of work, the Bright Eyes stuff and now the Mystic Valley Band stuff in particular, I've really grown to respect Conor Oberst. "Four Winds" was phenominal, especially "Stray Dog Freedom", and the two Mystic Valley albums have proven to be very entertaining.

I don't know if I can get behind ALL the hype, but I understand it a lot better now. Anybody new to Bright Eyes should check out "Lifted". Definitely a great way to familiarize yourself with Conor's style.

That's like saying who's hotter: Raquel Welch or Megan Fox? I doubt anyone who isn't going deaf prefers Dylan of 2000's to 1960's Dylan.

With that said, I like Conor about as much as 60's Dylan. He's got a great voice, and his lyric writing ability is virtually unmatched.

Like Bowie said, Dylan's voice is "like sand and glue"....I prefer that to Conor's lispy whine any day. haha
