Well, the self titled is out. I gave it a few listens and this is probably their first release where I don't find a single song that I really like. There are some instrumental moments on some songs that remind you of what they used to be capable of, but mostly it just seems like a copy paste of their previous work, but without that special something. :/

The last few have sucked. They used to change up styles a lot, and now they seem to have settled into one a la U2 and RHCP, but it's not one I like

Sinister Urges and Circuital are still all-timers. Some tracks on Z are also amazing.

Did you two not hear Holding on to Black Metal? Z is great, I'm not trying to take anything away from it. But the Prince meets Power Metal backup group of Highly Suspicious is just ****ing mind-blowing.

I have like 3 songs saved from Circuital, and Black metal is not one of them. I also didn't put Highly suspicious on my playlist although I like Evil urges much more than I do Circuital...

its kinda wild you two are discussing my morning jacket fifteen years later lol. i didn't realize they were still a band but hearing Prince meets power metal super peaks my interest.
