Default Mercury Rev

Ive been listening to this great band quite a bit recently.

Does anybody have any opinions on the band that was too loud and noisy for Lollapalooza?

Deserter's Songs is one of their best records. Start with that.

"Goddess on a Hiway" and "Holes" their best songs. But Deserter's Songs is a great album, quality all the way through, so I second Moon Pix suggestion.

Plus I would add that if you like noisy, balls to the wall art rock give Yerself Is Steam a spin.

They never got noisier.

I remember hearing about them in the early 90s & never really bothered to check them out. Then when they released Deserters Songs I thought it was a work of genius.

Then I went out & bought Yerself Is Steam

Thats the only one i have, i got it from a really cheap second hand shop and took it home and listened to it and loved it. . i was worried it would sound like wet wet wet for some reason.

I have the album ALL IS DREAM and it's patchy but there are a couple of really great tracks on it. TIDES OF THE MOON is a particular standout. May well give DESERTER SONGS a listen as it seems to be liked.

All is Dream is pretty weak, I didn't like Deserter Songs, Yrself is Steam, or See You on the Other Side all that much either... but Boces... I love that ****in album.

I bought a ''Best Of'' double CD thing....I wasn't overly impressed tbh, I'm always open to giving them another listen though.
