Beat Happening

they're cool

I only have You Turn Me On but most of it is very good, a couple of the songs are skippable, but what you gonna do.

share the love.

I don't think Calvin Johnson knows how to make bad music. I like pretty much everything thing he's done. If anyone likes Built to Spill, The Halo Benders don't disappoint. I guess Jamboree is my favorite Beat Happening album.

Love You Turn Me On,really do.Severely overlooked band considering how much they inspired that came after them.

Awesome band, and even better label. I've got 3 of their albums.. the self titled, which is my favorite, Jamboree, and Black Candy. love 'em all. Calvin Johnson's twee factor is set to kill.

Anyone read Our Band Could Be Your Life by Michael Azzerrad?
Calvin comes across as being quite the interesting individual.

Outstanding band, I only had You Turn Me On for a while, but downloaded the rest today. Teenage Caveman is a great song.

Farfisa 06-27-2010 06:38 PM

It sounds like they beat around on out of tune guitars, I like.

Mustaaaaaaang.

Love "You Turn Me On", great album. The Halo Benders are quite awesome too. Also, Calvin Johnson's part on "C Is The Heavenly Option" is spectacular.
