What do you guys think of this wonderful album? I just picked it up!

did you hear NPR's review of it?


They absolutely flamed it in every way possible--basically calling it a cliche piece of ****, containing only two songs that actually deserve to be on that album.

I don't think Bjork can do anything remotely close to "cliche" even if she tried.

I haven't heard Volta yet, but it's number one on my "to get" list.

I'm going to try and pick it up this Sunday, hopefully it will be as good as Vespertine.

Well, it's good but it's no Vespertine.

The review dudes said that her attempt to remind us she is all alternative and different is cliche.

That's like saying that someone is being a conformist by not conforming. That was a bad comparison I just made.

So in other words, if you have a consistant style or sound, it's cliche?

no, it was her attempt to change to something so much more experimental that was cliche.
