Yet another band it seems the MB Community are overlooking. Been listening to 16 Lover's Lane constantly of late, amazing album. Any other MB readers into them and have any idea where to go from here? And for the uninitiated here's some idea of what to expect

I love The Go-Betweens, and was quite surprised that they hadn't really been mentioned in here.. I think you should try and listen to Liberty Belle and the Black Diamond Express next, it's definitely their best album

Aye, that or Before Hollywood would be my next choices.
I'd also very strongly recommend solo albums by Robert Forster (Calling From a Country Phone and The Evangelist, especially) and Grant McLennan (all three--Watershed, Horsebreaker Star and In Your Bright Ray) as well.

Hey don't forget their 00's output, after they re - united... some of their best stuff IMO! You gotta make sure you get "The Friends of Rachel Worth', "Bright Yellow, Bright Orange" and "Oceans Apart".... especially Oceans Apart.... it's as good , if not better than their stuff from the eighties!
