Although I see nothing of them in this, more like a cheap/younger version of Arcade fire...:\
Exactly Indie pop is way down on my lists of musical likes. Jingle jangle guitars and not very original, but I like IRON MAIDEN and I know you hate 'em! One each!

Waaaaank. Watched that video the other day and felt incredibly let down. I have told off the person who recommended them to me.

Anyone heard Partie Traumatic yet? I have to say that it's a pretty solid release after all. I had very low expectations given the hype and the fact that they've actually signed with a major label. It's got a few incredibly fun tracks (like I wanna be your limousine) but I have to say that his voice grates on me after a while. Most of the tracks have very good to excellent music, but the ones that stand out are the ones where the lead singer doesn't wail too much. A perfect example of a great track ruined by his singing would be Look at me (when I rock wichoo), I can't help but cringe every time he sings "Look at me when I ROCH with you" ....rochhh? what?! Still, it's nothing compared to the annoyance of Hit the heartbreakes, it's like listening to a 10 year old being really snotty, with music... A lot of the time it's like an incredibly bad imitation of The cure. Which is a shame because like I said, the music is really good pop. :\

Shiyat dude, that's just about the best track they've done!

Regarding going major label, I think it was inevitable with this band. There was no way they could remain minor, there was simply too much big hit potential. From their own marketing and self-hype they managed to get a track to number 11 in the UK pop charts, and many major label alt-rock bands rarely get that high. They had to go major, this band will be a force to be reckoned with for some time.
