Default Black kids

"Black Kids are an unsigned band from Jacksonville, Florida, who don't have a record and have never been on tour but are suddenly being tipped as the next big thing. The band consists of Owen Holmes (bass), Kevin Snow (drums), Dawn Watley (keys+vocals), Ali Youngblood (keys+vocals) and Reggie Youngblood (vocals+guitar). The music of Black Kids is often compared with Arcade Fire, Go! Team, The Cure and My Bloody Valentine and the band was highly praised from Pitchfork, NME and The Guardian. The indie blog community welcomed them with an excitement and the song 'I'm not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance with you' became an ultimate hit. You can download Black Kids' four-song demo, Wizard of Ahhhs, for free on their MySpace-- it's not available in stores."

They have potential...I think...

Who are those white kids trying to fool? I see only two black kids! But yeah they're really good, remind me of the Shins.

If they are like THE SHINS then I don't think I will like them.

The Shins are the greatest indie pop band ever and you will learn to like them!!

Although I see nothing of them in this, more like a cheap/younger version of Arcade fire...:\

I dont know about all that 'greatest' talk. I thouroughly enjoyed 'Chutes Too Narrow' and 'Oh, Inverted World', but after 'Wincing the Night Away' and seeing them live I was slightly disappointed.

Not to agree with the critics but allmusic, pitchforkmedia, rolling stones, metacritic, rateyourmusic (user poll), and every other music rating site i can find disagrees with you...
