I can't find the 'One Dove' album anywhere

I have to say that while the 'One Dove' album was perfectly listenable, I found it to be very dated.

Terranova wasn't bad, but didn't stand out to me. Also, it was more hip-hop than trip-hop, to me. Hip-hop is fine, but as a hip-hop group, they weren't great. The more electronic tracks made good background music, but didn't stick in my head.

I would say, like everyone else has said, anything by Tricky, Massive Attack and Portishead. Others I listen to is Tryad and Team Sleep.

The biggest issue with this genre is it's misslabeled by ALOT of people, from Myspace-made rappers thinking it's another form of hip-HOP to the "pros" at AMG who label it too The Chemical Brothers and Jamiroquai. The genre also is a hard one for a band to master if they plan on using it ALL THE TIME. Alot of bands will have a trip hop-esqe song, but never a full album.

With the exception of Dj Cam, the list is uninspiring and done to death.

am i a bad person to have only just bought Blues Lines? it's pretty good, like A Tribe Called Quest on ket. certainly alot more compelling than all that DJ Shadow chillout dross.
saw 3-d interviewed on that 'Live Forever' britpop documentary and he was typically up himself. i have a theory that damon albarn assumed his personality in 1998
