The way I see it, Babyshambles is a band that exists merely for the sake of Pete-loving. Which is fine, I mean, the best of luck to him and all. I just don't think people who claim to take them as a 'serious' proposition can really be being entirely honest.
No, that is exactly true. If I din't particulary like him, I would hate the band greatly, because their music is not to good. So I guess it does make sense that I'm not really taking them seriusly at all.

I've never really looked at it that way before but I cant argue with that. If Pete Doherty leaves, Babyshambles are done. They're not exactly the kind of band to continue without him, they cant continue without him really.

this is worth putting in two threads...i can't believe i forgot this label! Pete and the Pirates are their flagship band, but they're a bit pants, all their other signees are lo-fi indie brilliance though. Noah and the Whale's new album was pretty damn good, wouldn't call them indie though, they are released through Vertigo which is owned by Universal, the same arguments could be made for a lot of those bands though so I guess it doesn't matter.

Noah and the Whale are absolutely horrific, can't stand them.
