Let's talk in about 5 years after the irrelevant One-Hit-Wonder special comes out.

boy, its nice to that MTV and VH1 are what determine relevance these days. I don't have a single friend who watches either.

Screaming Trees always reminded me of hippies. I'm not sure I would recommend them though.

It's nice to have friends.

not sure why being a hippy is good..im probably just retarded

they were one of my favorite bands for a while. I almost enjoy each song on the album.

Okay, well Oracular Spectacular really was very good and I played the crap out of that thing for like a good solid month in my car. But I didn't fully fall in love with the band until I saw this video of them performing "This Must The Place" at their school before they were even MGMT. I'm sorry for being silly and cliched, but this is pretty much what music is all about

They have a new album coming out in April called Congratulations!

Judging from the ratings on Rateyourmusic, it may have leaked already.

lieasleep 03-15-2010 12:08 PM

it has leaked. torrents.

and anyone else think this band is pop music dressed up to fit the "indie" genre? I mean the whole, never having released an album on an indie label really works against them but what do you guys think?

not trying to say anything yay or nay against their music. i really like it. just calling them indie always bothered me...

TheCunningStunt 03-15-2010 12:17 PM

It's leaked?

Seriously? I'll try and find a torrent, didn't think it'd leak so quickly though..

Meh, these days a lot of 'Indie' bands get labeled Indie when they're not.
