Honestly, I'm glad they are doing it this way if it is indeed the case. Oracular was great, but I find myself being done with the album after I hear the hit songs. It really was a singles album, and I prefer album albums.
I thought the song was a bit strange and odd when I first heard it.. Then in context with the album I just thought "it fits."

I just got the album yesterday and I'm really pleased with it. It definitely has a more cohesive sound, but I am a little bit disappointed because Time to Pretend was the song that first drew me to MGMT and they kinda snuffed that side of the band. Still, overall its a great album and I will probably be listening to it nonstop for a while.

MGMT is an amazing band to skate to. They have the calmest and interesting music I have heard. I absolutely love it.

There are too many movies that play a MGMT song somewhere.
