I loved Congratulations, at least as good as Oracular.

I dig MGMT. Congratulations really showed them a capable act. A growth in style and direction, creating a work resembling a crossover between The Beach Boys and Beatles. Their first album was good as well, far more accessible and mainline, but absent the vision of Congratulations. I really look forward to whatever these guys do next.

After listening to Congratulations a few more times I think I have changed my mind regarding which is the better album. It's got a lot more depth, even if it isn't as instantly rewarding/fun.

Definitely. It might not be as single ridden as their first release, but it, as a cohesive whole, is a work of art. It listens like a concept album sans the concept.

I agree. I don't understand some of the hate that Congratulations has garnered since it came out. I find it to be better than Oracular Spectacular, yet Oracular is a pretty damn great album.
