I love love this band, every song I hear sounds better than the last.

I'm always a sucker for big glossy hooks, so I enjoyed Oracular Spectacular a fair bit. But it has a pretty limited appeal and I rarely listen to it anymore.

Mgmt are one of those bands that shouldnt make albums and just stick to a single every couple of months. In a nutshell, its an album consisting of a few moments of inspiration and a lot of filler

Same. Soon, you won't listen to it at all. I eventually sold it.

I gave Kids, Electric Feel, and Time to Pretend a listen and from what I've heard so far, it's not bad but, I wouldn't go out and buy "Oracular Spectacular". From what I've read above, it looks as though it wouldn't be worth downloading either.

Yeah, it's not worth it. I only like a very select few songs.

To me they aren't really that spectacular apart from 'Electric Feel' which is very funky.

Kids sounds incredible in the club and the other 2 singles are great too but the album isn't up to much. They try a variety of styles which i respect but the tunes aren't there for me.

i heard them for the first time in Europe a few months ago where they seem to be a lot bigger of a deal, and I am very surprised to see American put out a sound like this. better than most of the garbage posted here by far. so I can understand why most people on here aren't that into them.
