Dodos plainly have a lot of good ideas, but the execution is often wanting. While some songs are near perfect, others are so blandly conceived that they bore you to death - in spite of the soundness of the basic idea.

will say that I expect this band to come up with some stellar releases in the future. Visiter, though, was about half hit, half miss. I tried to view it more positively so many times, but it turns out to be impossible. It stumbles all too frequently.
