huh? just emphasising your point
it's different |
I think this might be an example of where two word responses don't cut it.

I just listened to Psychocandy. One of my favorite albums of the 80s. Nice and spacey!

Anyway, yeah, I love Pychocandy and have been listening to it a lot lately for some reason. Really, I never go more than 6 months or so without putting it on repeat. Beautiful album. |
It has a spacey, surreal atmospheric feel to it imo. Not like Animal Collective spacey or Pink Floyd spacey, but something seperate that I can't really properly put into words.

have heard Stoned & Dethroned - it's alright, I guess
a bit on the repetitive side, though |
I had never seen this video before. What a beautiful song
And here's an enlightening interview the band gave in their early days: |
The Senior Year memory I will take to the grave with me: Listening to "Upside Down" on the legendary Canadian show Brave New Waves. The point where I knew that my Music journey after High School was going to be a great one.
Early '86, bought Psychocandy, played it on headphones, made my ears ring LAMF, felt good!!!!! A great band! As for Munki, it's good, although it did suggest that their best ideas were starting to run into "sounding all too familiar" mode as if they wanted to do everything one more time in an epic shot returning to Creation (In the UK/it was on Sub Pop in the US) before going off into a rest. Still, despite the feeling that some editing was needed ("Commercial" should have been left off), most of it was cool filled with great hooks. It has the feeling that the party was almost over but not without a couple of good songs to end it with. I still return to it quite a bit. |
